The details after mowing
Lawn edging and trimming in Burbank
Crisp hard-surface lines and careful trimming around the places a mower cannot reach.

Two different finishing tasks
Trimming reaches grass. Edging defines the boundary.
Trimming cuts grass that a mower deck cannot reach safely—along fences, walls, tree rings, utility boxes and planting beds. Edging creates a controlled vertical line where turf meets a sidewalk, driveway, curb or other hard surface. Both are included with our standard mowing visit when the areas are accessible and maintained.
The distinction matters because each tool solves a different visual problem. A lawn can be evenly mowed and still look unfinished when grass leans over the sidewalk or stands tall around every fixed object. Good detail work brings those remaining areas back into the same clean plane as the rest of the yard.
Edging
A sharp line without making the gap wider every week
Repeated edging should follow the intended border. It should not carve farther into the lawn on each visit or scatter soil across the property. We work along visible hard edges and adjust for curves, broken concrete, shallow irrigation parts and changes in grade.
Narrow parkways and small urban front lawns often have more linear edge than their square footage suggests. That is why a modest patch can require careful finishing even when mowing is quick. Regular service helps prevent turf runners from spreading far over the walk.
Trimming
Controlled work around beds, fences and trees
A string trimmer is useful but should not be treated as a universal cutting tool. We use it for reachable grass around fixed features and tight transitions. Tree bark, exposed roots, irrigation lines, landscape lighting and flexible plastic borders require additional clearance and may need to be marked before service.
Trimming is not hedge shaping, brush clearing or weed removal from planting beds. Those are different scopes with different tools and disposal needs. Keeping the standard service defined makes the result predictable and protects delicate landscape features.
Before the visit
Help us protect what borders your lawn
Many avoidable problems are hidden at grass level. Point out fragile edging, low sprinkler heads, shallow cables, newly planted trees and any object that should receive extra clearance.
- Move hoses and portable lights off the lawn.
- Mark irrigation heads that sit above grade.
- Identify delicate bark and newly planted material.
- Clear toys, furniture and pet waste from border areas.
- Unlock gates and provide safe access to side yards.
- Explain any shared or disputed property edge.
Battery-powered equipment
Detailed work without gas equipment at your home
Our trimmers and blowers are battery-powered. That means no gasoline exhaust on the property and less engine noise around neighbors, pets and home offices. It also aligns with local restrictions on gas-powered leaf blowers in Los Angeles and Burbank. After trimming and edging, loose clippings are cleared from accessible hard surfaces so the lines remain visible.
